DIY Sticker Book So I saw the post about a crafter having a lot of cold laminating backing sheets and does not know what to do with it. Let me teach you how else you can bring life to these sheets. Material you will need: • puncher (any punchers will do. for mine, I invested in this 6-hole puncher) • glue stick, the heavy duty kind (highly recommend double sided tape but it will generate more waste, glue is the BEST option) • cold laminating backing sheets • binder notebook or rings Process: 1. fold your cold laminating backing sheets in half with the glossy side out. you can use a hard piece of cardboard or a bone folder to fold them properly. 2. once they are folded in half, open the sheet again and apply glue to the outer and inside areas of the non-glossy side. 3. apply glue generously and use a heavy object, like a book, to press the sheets together. 4. press the glued sheets under a heavy object like a book and let the glue dry for 3-6 hours. for better results, wait overnight. 5. once the sheets are glued together, punch holes on the side. 6. compile the punched sheets together and place in your binder. Tip: • a heavy duty glue stick is needed because the non-glossy side is still too slick for non-heavy duty glue to hold. • It is not advisable to use liquid glue (e.g. Elmer's Glue) because liquid glue has too much moisture and may cause the plastic film to peel off from the sheet. If you don't have any other glue to use and liquid glue is the only option you havw, apply a very thin sheet to the paper and ensure that the glued sheets are pressed evenly together to avoid crinkling or peeling. I have been making these sheets for my hobby and super heavy duty nya. It is compatible with most stickers. If you have extra laminating backing sheets, you can make them into these sticker books or you can donate them to me.
